The business has appointed Dean Coughlan as MEP Operations Director and Liam Clark as MEP Technical Director, as well as promoting Chris Grubb to Regional Director and Sam Courtney to Associate Director.

Dean Coughlan brings over 15 years’ experience across residential and commercial sectors from concept to handover, having led significant projects in Central London and worked with the UK’s biggest property developers. In his new role, Dean Coughlan will lead the firm’s building services team in collaboration with Meinhardt (UK) board directors Mark Bryan and Martin Taylor.

Commenting on his appointment, Dean Coughlan said: “I’m thrilled to be part of Meinhardt’s management team and look forward to leading signature projects across both the UK and Middle East. This is a dynamic time for the market as client requirements are ever-evolving, particularly with the introduction of the Building Safety Act, which is exciting from a design-led engineering perspective.”

Having previously held a board level director role in the building services sector, Liam Clark joins Meinhardt with 26 years’ experience in the electrotechnical and consulting engineering sectors. Liam has worked on notable projects across London and the South East, covering a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, heritage and historic, healthcare, and ecclesiastical.

Liam Clark said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining the business, with some very interesting and varied projects either just beginning, or in the pipeline. I’m looking forward to applying the knowledge and skills I’ve built over my career, to strengthen and improve our offering and ensure projects continue to be delivered efficiently, innovatively, and successfully.”

Chris Grubb has been promoted to Regional Director after seven years at Meinhardt during a 30-year career in the industry. Chris will lead a newly created infrastructure team to deliver national and international projects across various sectors.

Having joined Meinhardt 18 months ago as Senior Associate, Sam Courtney has been promoted to Associate Director. Sam has experience across the commercial sector, including CAT A and B fit-outs, building refurbishment, and new builds.

Mark Bryan, Board Director at Meinhardt said: “Both promotions are truly well deserved. Chris, for his continued work ethic across all Meinhardt consulting engineering disciplines, while Sam has made excellent headways within our commercial sector offering. On behalf of the board directors we look forward to seeing the team work on our diverse portfolio of individual buildings right the way through to huge international master plans.”
